It depends on the individual of course, but I've been in the holiday business long enough to know that for many vacationers having plenty to do and see is crucial when deciding to take a holiday in the UK. There's a good reason for that - the weather. It's so hard to plan an all-out beach holiday because to enjoy the beach at its very best you want plenty of sunshine to go with it (and to warm up the sea of course!) However, these days in the UK it's so hard to know when you will get some consistent sun. There was a time when you could virtually guarantee hours of glorious rays from June to August, but not anymore. There may be a reason for that, but we're not here to discuss and debate climate change. So these days, people looking for a place to go on holiday in the UK want an area of the country that maybe includes some nearby beaches, but also has other attractions inland.
That's a bit of a tall order - but I am happy to say there is one region in the UK that more than accommodates such a quest. The area is Cornwall and it ticks many, many holiday-search boxes. What is more, Cornwall, and Crylla Valley in particular, has such diversity it makes it a great holiday destination for families young and old, romantic-break couples, or groups of friends looking for some weekend fun.
It is arguably the UK's most diverse holiday destination, and I'll tell you why. For one thing there is nowhere else in the UK, let alone Britain (in my opinion of course), where you can find such a brilliant array of things to enjoy. There's the stunning rural landscape; the awesome beaches, fantastic surfing, fun-filled attractions, and towns/villages of unique historical interest - and it's all rounded off with the warmest all-year round weather anywhere in the UK. What is more, you will find Crylla Valley in particular is the place to stay because it is ideally situated to make the most of all that Cornwall has to offer. For instance, Dartmoor is just 25 minutes away from Crylla Valley or go east and you are even closer to the maritime greatness of Plymouth, while heading further south-west you will be transported to tropical nirvana otherwise known as The Eden Project.
For the more serious surfer mention must be made of Fistral, renowned for its breathtaking breaks and swirls, and for those who enjoy a touch of history and nostalgia there's the smuggling and fishing tales of old to savour at Kingsand and Cawsand, the twin villages on the Rame Peninsula. For those who need to cater for the family, the beaches at Watergate Bay and Polzeath are the best offering plenty of bucket and spade and rockpool fun.
Next up is Cornwall's Crealy, the best fun in Cornwall where Maximum Fun is Guaranteed! At Cornwall's Crealy you will discover the wildest rides and the biggest events, entertainment and characters plus Cornwall's biggest indoor and outdoor adventures. Meet the friendliest animals within 100 acres of countryside and enjoy delicious locally-sourced food. And oh yes, one other thing that makes Cornwall holiday gold - the sun. Officially the southernmost tip of England is the mildest and sunniest region in the whole of the UK. Once I discovered that I was definitely sold!
