Dallas, Texas, is home to several of the state's best parks and entertainment locales. Folk trying to find theme parks in Dallas have 1 or 2 good options to select from. Whether they are organizing a summer vacation or an enjoyable weekend outing, here are six great entertainment parks in the Dallas area.

Hawaiian Falls Water Parks

Hawaiian Falls is one of two well-liked Dallas water parks. Hawaiian Falls has 4 locations in the area - The Colony, Garland, Mansfield, and Roanoke. A well-liked site for groups, picnics, and parties, these Dallas water parks are open from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Visitors to the park will find all of the standard water park attractions - swimming pools, water slides, inner tubing, and more.

Six Flags Hurricane Harbor

Hurricane Harbor is the favorite among Dallas water parks. Part of the 6 Flags theme park chain, the sizeable water park is found in Arlington, between Dallas and Fort Worth. Hurricane Harbor does water parks on a grand scale, with all of the common water park rides - body slides, speed tubes, tube slides, lazy brooks, and wave pools. The park also has shopping areas, with a few stores and eateries.

Six Flags Over Texas

Six Flags Over Texas is the oldest and most renowned of entertainment parks in Dallas. The park features incredible entertainment rides, wonderful live performances, and other attractions. Located in Arlington, the park is about a twenty-minute drive from Dallas or Fort Worth. Six Flags Over Texas boasts a number of firsts, including first log flume, first mine train roller coaster, and first free-fall ride. The park has the record for the planet's best roller coaster, Texas Giant, and the nation's tallest and speediest roller-coaster, Titan.

Speed Zone

Thrill seekers can satisfy their "need for speed" at Speed Zone, one of the most enthralling theme parks in Dallas. Speed Zone offers pacy drag racing on slick, turbo, and thunder road tracks. The park also features small golf and computer game arcades. Speed Zone is a popular Dallas venue for birthday parties, college groups, and special events.

State Fair Of Texas

The State Fair Of Texas is one of the seasonal theme parks in Dallas. Held each fall, the yearly event has been located at the historic Fair Park since 1886. "Big Tex", a giant cowboy that stands 52 feet tall, has been the fair's symbol way back to the early 1950s. Arranged by attendance, the State Fair Of Texas is the largest state fair in the country. More than 2.6 million visitors attended the 2010 event. Fair Park is home to the biggest Ferris wheel in North America. A full-scale auto show and 1 or 2 famous deep-fried foods are other favored attractions.

Zero Gravity

Zero Gravity is a different kind of attraction in the Dallas area. Unlike the other entertainment parks in Dallas, it features rides that imitate acute sports. Park visitors enjoy intense experiences on one-off rides, including "Bungee Jumping," "Skycoaster," and "Texas Blastoff." A ride called "Nothin ' But Net" is an enjoyable free-fall, and "Skyscraper" is the park's newest offering. With an ideal track record, Zero Gravity is the number 1 place to experience some of the wildest thrills in Texas.
